Business Structure
After Janine and Jeff started new Boost juice bars across Australia it became so popular that people started to buy their franchises this even spread further across the world in places such as India, South Africa, Indonesia and America.
For a franchise to work the person must pay Janine or Jeff $180, 000 to buy one of their small shops taking the name and style of Boost, once they have paid this amount of money they can start more shops of Boost. To be a franchiser of Boost juice you must undertake roles such as supporting the franchise network, this is marketing, training, leasing, design and development and Supply Chain Management Division.
However outside of Australia they do not allow you to just buy one single franchise store.
The business has normally about two managers who own the whole shop, four people or more who are trainers, their role is to make the foods and drinks and to train the new employees how to keep the business running and flowing, teaching them everything they know and then there is the trainees, they do not employ too many trainees at a time because this can cause a lot of stress and if the shop is busy and they make mistakes the shop will turn disastrous caused by food and drinks imperfections and complaints of the length of time they required to make the drink. The employees job at first is to watch and listen on how the trainers do things, do basic tasks such as take the garbage waste out and do the washing up they then excel into harder tasks such as making the food and drinks, taking orders, counting money, doing pour up (pour up is where they get the smoothie out of the blender check for imperfections, shake it, pour the drink into the Boost's cups and call out the person who ordered it's name) after they have mastered these skills and how to work effectively in a team they become the new trainers.
